Steps when registering a pesticide.

Process

Step 1:  For persons wishing to import a new pesticide not yet registed in the BVI, you are required to fill out the "Application to Register a Pesticide" form.

Step 2:  The Department will review the application and based on the chemical compounds, a decision will be made as to whether the pesticide will be safe for importation.

Step 3:  If the pesticide is deemed unsafe, the application will be denied.  If pesticide is deemed safe, the application will be approved.

Step 4:  An approval correspondence will be forwarded to the applicant.
