Representatives from the Government of the Virgin Islands, BVI Tourist Board and Island Shipping welcomed Mein Schiff 5 on Thursday, November 17, to the Territory for its inaugural call.

The British Virgin Islands continues to see positive growth in the tourism industry with initial tourism figures for January to July 2016 showing an overall increase of 27.3 percent  for all visitors, when compared to the same period in 2015.

Cabinet has approved the re-appointment of Mr. Russell Harrigan as chairman of the BVI Tourist Board. Mr. Harrigan has held the position since 2011.  

One hundred and twelve employees from the Little Dix Bay Resort have received employment following the closure of the facility for renovations on May 1.
