World Food Day

World Food Day is a day commemorated by the Food & Agricultural Organization (FAO) and was established by FAO's Member Countries at the Organization's Twentieth General Conference in November 1979. The date chosen, 16 October, is the anniversary of FAO. The BVI celebrates World Food Day as a step towards promoting all aspects of agriculture - the producers, the production and the produce.
