‘Driving BVI Innovation through Legislation’ is the theme of the Government’s Legislative Agenda for the Third Session of the Fourth House of Assembly.

The British Virgin Islands COVID-19 Human and Economic Impact Assessment Report (HEAT Report) that presents the overall impact of the coronavirus on the Territory has been launched.

The Speech from the Throne outlining Government’s Legislative Agenda will be delivered by His Excellency the Governor Mr. Augustus J. U. Jaspert during the First Sitting of the Third Session of the Fourth House of Assembly (HOA) on Thursday, November 5.

The Government of the Virgin Island in partnership with the Marine Conservation Society (MCS), the University of Exeter and the Association of Reef Keepers (ARK) BVI virtually launched a three-year sea turtle conservation project titled “Sustaining Turtles, Environment, Economies, and Livelihoods (STEEL)” on October 26.

At 10:47 a.m. today, 4^th November 2020, a plane with four (4) souls on board, crashed on the island of Anegada.  At 11:00 a.m. three (3) souls were recovered with non-critical injuries.

The Virgin Islands and other Overseas Territories (OTs) are expected to receive any COVID-19 vaccine procured by the United Kingdom.

Premier and Minister of Finance of the British Virgin Islands, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie, in his capacity as Vice Chair of the Caribbean Development and Cooperation Committee (CDCC), has presented the official report of the CDCC to the Member and Associate Member Countries of ECLAC on October 28 at the virtual 38^th Session of ECLAC, October 26-28.
