The COVID-19 Public Service Hero recognition programme which seeks to boost morale and recognise extraordinary work within the Public Service has been launched.

Mir. Speaker, in our commitment to keeping the public informed, I am pleased to announce that a total of twenty (20) returning nationals and residents will rejoin the Virgin Islands community this week after completing 14 days in quarantine and testing negative for the virus that causes COVID-19.

The business community is notified that the registration forms for grants for affected small and medium sized businesses previously advertised to be available on Friday June 19 will now be available at a date to be announced.

Persons interested in sporting and recreational activities are invited to a virtual meeting on Monday June 22 at 2:45 p.m.

The Cabinet of the Virgin Islands has approved granting the public full access to all beaches in the Territory for the purposes of exercise and therapy between the hours of 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Cabinet Office is notifying the public that Statutory Instruments No. 69 Immigration and Passport (Prohibition of Entry) (No. 9) Order, 2020 and No. 71 Imposition of a Curfew (No. 22) Order, 2020 are now available for public information on the Virgin Islands Official Gazette website at https://eservices.gov.vg/gazette/.

The Environmental Health Division is inviting religious and church leaders to a virtual meeting on Friday, June 19 at 1:00 p.m.

The public is notified that effective Thursday, June 18, the Territory’s beaches are open from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.
