The Public Service will extend its operating hours from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. daily following the extension of the Territory’s curfew, which begins on Sunday, May 10 as announced by Premier of the Virgin Islands, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie.
Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew A. Fahie has thanked the Governor of the United States Virgin Islands Albert Bryan Jr. for his Government’s commitment and cooperation in law enforcement and border security in the Greater Virgin Islands.

The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) would like to notify the public of the updated opening hours for its Ports commencing Monday, May 11th.
The Cabinet Office is notifying the public that Statutory Instrument Nos. 49 Imposition of a Curfew (No.15) Order, 2020 is now available for public information on the Virgin Islands Official Gazette website at https://eservices.gov.vg/gazette/.

The public is advised that appointments for the collection of work permit renewals will be prioritised for those businesses approved by the Government for reopening at this time, and for those businesses that have submitted the Workforce Assessment.

Businesses not yet approved to operate in the British Virgin Islands are allowed to begin putting social distancing requirements and health protocols in place in time for re-opening on Sunday, May 10.
Many of us would have seen the reports of the recent earthquake in Puerto Rico. Our thoughts are with those affected by any damage. With seismic activity continuing in the region and the Atlantic Hurricane Season just around the corner, it is timely that many are wondering what they might do differently when it comes to emergencies in the context of the Coronavirus COVID-19.
