The Ministry of Communications and Works is informing the public that the Blackburn Highway from Parham Town to the Queen Elizabeth Bridge will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Thursday January 22 to Friday January 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The purpose of the closure is to pave and rehabilitate the road in that area.

Traffic will be redirected through the Parham Town road.  Motorists are asked to exercise caution when traversing the area.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting the community of Anegada to attend a Public Meeting on the proposed Protected Areas at the Anegada Community Centre on Monday, February 2, at 1:00 p.m.

The meeting will be held immediately after the ceremony and festivities of Farmers’ Week taking place on Anegada, on the same day.

Minister for Communication and Works Honourable Mark Vanterpool is informing the Jost Van Dyke community that he will hold office hours on Jost Van Dyke on Friday, January 23 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jost Van Dyke Library.

The Ministry of Communications and Works is informing the public that Parker Road, Road Town which runs between Josh Bakery and Little Denmark will be closed for works from Friday, January 16 from 7:00 p.m. to vehicular traffic.  Works are expected to last for a 27 day period. 

The Social Development Department is inviting the public, parents in particular, to participate in a “Parents: Cooperative Colleagues Part 2” Parenting Session on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
