Officials at the Ministry of Health and Social Development are calling for the postponement of all summer camps and programmes until further notice.

This call to action is due to an increase in positive COVID-19 cases within the Territory.

The Territory’s epidemiological summary as of July 2 reports that there are 155 active cases. Ten (10) of these cases are located on vessels, 141 on the island of Tortola and 4 on Virgin Gorda.

Residents are encouraged that during this time, it is important to comply and work together to control and suppress the spread of COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development continues to encourage the community to protect themselves by exercising and eating healthy, boosting immune system, wearing masks over mouth and nose, hand washing/sanitising for at least 20 seconds and practicing proper cough etiquette.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development is committed to improving the health of the people of the Virgin Islands.
