The online work permit system that will enhance the way that work permits are processed will be launched virtually on Monday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m.
Employers, employees and all respective public servants that are normally involved in the work permit processing system will now have a platform that will streamline the process as well as reduce in person contact, which is essential in the midst of a global pandemic.
Employers and employees will be able to track the progress of applications on the new platform, which will also notify users if they are missing any supporting documentation that would be needed to move their application forward.
Additionally, a user manual for employers and employees is provided so that potential users of the Online Work Permit System can familiarise themselves with the material before the virtual launch on Monday.
The new Work Permit Online Application Project is one aspect of the overall transformation of the Public Service initiative.
The Government of the Virgin Islands remains committed to transforming to a stronger, more resilient and more effective Public Service.
