Fogging will continue in the Road Town area beginning Thursday February 8 between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Target areas include Wickham’s Cay, Lower Road Town, Joe’s Hill, Long Bush, Lower Estate, Huntum’s Ghut and the surrounding areas.

Property Owners are urged to leave windows and doors open. Persons with respiratory illnesses, particularly asthma, should leave the areas being fogged for at least an hour.

Residents are reminded that fogging will provide only temporary relief from mosquitoes. Householders and property owners must therefore be vigilant in preventing mosquitoes from breeding in stagnant water around their homes and businesses by conducting weekly inspections.

For further information on how to control the Aedes aegypti mosquito, telephone the Vector Control Unit of the Environmental Health Division at 852-7782
