In a continued effort to combat mosquito-borne illnesses such as Zika, Chikungunya and Dengue, the Ministry of Health and Social Development has purchased a new truck  for heightened vector surveillance in Virgin Gorda. Acting Chief Environmental Health Officer, Mrs. Yolanda Penn said that the purchase of the truck coincides with the launch of a satellite vector team of two officers in Virgin Gorda to address vector matters. The Ministry of Health and Social Development is continuing with its educational measures to assist residents with minimising their risk of being affected by mosquito-borne illnesses.
