As Governor of these Virgin Islands, I am grateful to be here today to carry out my constitutional responsibilities on behalf of His Majesty King Charles III in delivering the Speech from the Throne.

I am elated to stand before you today at the first-ever British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) Career Expo. This event marks a significant milestone not only for the British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation but also for our entire community as we gather to celebrate opportunities, growth, and the bright futures that lie ahead for each one of you this morning.

Today, on 19 November, we unite to observe World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse -  a day that calls us to pause, reflect, and take bold action to protect the youngest and most vulnerable members of our community: our children.   

His Excellency, the Acting Governor Mr. David D. Archer Jr., chaired the meeting held on 18th September, 2024, in the absence of Governor Daniel Pruce, who was overseas on official business. The meeting was held at the Premier's Conference Room.
