It is with great joy that I greet you my people of the First District and the entire Virgin Islands, including all visitors to our lovely shores, in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and soon coming King. Despite our challenges in 2015, we the people of these beautiful Virgin Islands have a lot to thank God for.  For sure, if you can hear, see or read this message then it means that you are still alive.

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE 2015  A Merry Christmas to all: both residents and visitors of these magnificent Virgin Islands, particularly my constituents of the Third Electoral District.  I am Julian Fraser, Representative for the Third District, and Leader of The Opposition.    On November 16th I attended a prayer of thanksgiving service by the BVI Christian Council marking the end of our last hurricane season, to which thanks was given to God for sparing the territory yet another season from a single hurricane hit.  Our territory has been fortunate in that regard, and such a service was very much in order.    However, as we view the world today, we must acknowledge that the Virgin Islands are no different from Paris, Mali, or San Bernardino where residents and visitors alike has within the past weeks fallen victims to the hands of terrorists.  

Romans Chapter 8, verses 37 to 39 reminds us, "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Greetings, I am Dr. Kedrick Pickering, Member for the Seventh District and the Minister responsible for the Natural Resources and Labour of the Government of the Virgin Islands. On behalf of the Ministry, I would like to take this opportunity to firstly, wish you and your family an enjoyable and peaceful Holiday Season. - A special holiday greeting to the people of the Seventh Electoral District, who have placed their confidence in me over the years. I’ll continue to do my best to serve them and to do our best to improve our community and by so doing, improve this Territory; the Great Little Nation we are building.

Christmas is a special time of year, a time when families and friends draw near to each other to renew personal ties and friendships and to share in the warmth of the season and embrace the joy that it brings.

It was a celebration of diverse cultures as various nationalities residing in the British Virgin Islands represented their Christmas customs at the Premier’s Third Annual Christmas Around the World.

The Department of Culture is inviting the public to the launching ceremony for the book, “Who Cheats More Than a Politician? You Be the Judge”, on Monday, December 21 in the Breezeway of the Central Administration Complex at 4:30 p.m.

A book focusing on the lives of seven married couples, will be launched on December 21.
