The biodiversity in the Old Government House Museum Gardens is being featured this week as the Virgin Islands observes International Museum Day. Member of the Museum's Board Ms. Ermin Penn said that a native plant garden is being developed at the Government House, which includes Virgin Islands' traditional medicinal plants.

Eight local authors will be celebrated tomorrow at a Book Tour and Extravaganza on Virgin Gorda.

Local author Mrs. Janice George-Harris is featured as she launched her book, ‘Little Hill Stories’ on Saturday May 6, on Virgin Gorda.

The Cabinet of the Virgin Islands has approved the Virgin Islands Culture and Heritage Policy & Strategy 2023 to 2028.

Local author Mrs. Valerie Sims will launch her new book “Norman Island: True Treasure Tales” later this week.

The public is advised that Friday, March 17 is the final day to submit feedback on the draft Virgin Islands Culture and Heritage policy and strategy.

Premier and Minister of Culture, Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley, Junior Minister for Culture Honourable, Alvera Maduro-Caines, and the Director of Culture Dr. Katherine Smith are featured at public consultation meetings held on the Department of Culture’s policy and strategy. 

The Government of the Virgin Islands continues to celebrate the life of the late Honourable H. Lavity Stoutt and will be observing the 23^rd anniversary of this commemorative occasion on March 5.
