Thank you Madam Speaker, I say a fifth district good afternoon to each and every one of you under the sound of my voice whether present or online. It's a pleasure to be in the fifth district, it's a pleasure to be here in this Fifth House of Assembly, before I start, I just want to thank God. Thank God for all his mercies and his blessings for having me here in this Fifth House of Assembly. I also thank my wife, Suzanne, for her unwavering support throughout this journey, and my daughters who are here present today, excited to be here for this special day. I also thank my family, I thank the people of the Fifth District for the confidence that they placed in me to represent them yet again. Madam Speaker I also thank all the persons who supported me, who encouraged me, prayed for me along the way, and I thank them for their support.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is about to commence work on Phase 1 of the Long Bay, Beef Island Beach Management Plan.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is now a Presidential Partner with the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA).

Minister for Communications and Works Honourable Kye Rymer has said that his ministry stands ready and committed to support every effort to enhance the system of airports in the Territory.

I would like to say a special welcome to those of you joining us both in person and via live stream at this auspicious occasion as we dedicate the long-awaited Market Square.

Premier and Minister for Finance Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley was engaged in discussions to advance the approved Blue Economy Strategic Road Map and the recently completed National Development Plan.

Minister for Natural Resources and Labour Honourable Melvin M. Turnbull pledged the commitment of Virgin Islands to do its part and work towards the sustainable development 2030 agenda as he gave his statement at the United Nations Ocean Conference in Lisbon, Portugal.

Today, Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable A. Fahie served as the keynote speaker addressing policymakers and leading experts in the fields of sustainable finance and development during the Island Finance Forum 2022.  

The Government of the Virgin Islands has established a national local project office as it collaborates with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to achieve development objectives and the Sustainable Development Goals.  

Residents of the Lower Estate, Huntum’s Ghut, Long Bush, Joe’s Hill, Road Town and surrounding areas are invited to a public meeting to discuss the way forward on the Elmore Stout High School Redevelopment Project.
