The culmination of the foreign language knowledge display took place today with secondary schools across the Territory battling in Spanish and French spelling, translation and general knowledge.
The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) is notifying the public that examinations will resume today, Thursday, May 9.
All candidates are asked to report to their testing locations for their scheduled examinations. CXC wishes candidates success in their examinations and a smooth testing season.
The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports is notifying the public that all public schools will be closed today, Wednesday 8th May due to adverse weather conditions and the forecasted continuation of the same.
The first of two days of foreign language knowledge display kicked off today with primary schools across the Territory squaring off in Spanish spelling, translation and general knowledge.
Premier, Honourable Dr. Natalio Wheatley, and Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, Honourable Sharie de Castro are featured along with the Chief Executive Officer of the Kellner Family Foundation Mr. Jan Andrlik and Board Member of the Recovery and Development Agency (RDA)

Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie de Castro, staff and students of the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School, and representatives from Green VI are featured as they planted a Cherry tree in observance of Earth Day which was on 22nd April.
