The National AML/CFT Coordinating Council (“NAMLCC”) remains steadfast in its mission to protect the Virgin Islands from the evolving threats of money laundering (“ML”), terrorist financing (“TF”), and proliferation financing (“PF”). In pursuit of this objective, NAMLCC continues to make significant strides in safeguarding the financial and security landscape of the Virgin Islands.
The Ministry of Financial Services, Labour, and Trade has officially appointed new members to the governing Board of Commissioners of the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission.
As the Premier has said, the purpose of the mission to London was to meet members of the new Labour led Parliament and Government. Given the importance of Climate Change to this territory, we took the opportunity to meet climate change and climate finance experts in the public and private sector, officials in key government departments and the private financial services sector.
I am pleased to now make a few comments about the Value of the visit in relation to our financial services industry.

The Government of the Virgin Islands, through the Ministry of Financial Services, Labour and Trade, has opened applications for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Grant Programme.

The Ministry of Financial Services, Labour, and Trade is inviting business owners, entrepreneurs, and interested persons to attend the highly anticipated BVI Business Banking Expo on Thursday, June 6.
