Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration Honourable Vincent Wheatley is encouraging partnerships to move forward amicably in relation to resolving historical claims to ancestral lands following a meeting with the Anegada Advisory Lands Committee (AALC).

The Ministry of Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration is informing its stakeholders and the wider community that with immediate effect, all applications submitted for processing of Non-Belongers Land Holding Licence must be accompanied by a passport size photograph of each vendor.

The public is notified that effective December 31, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration will no longer accept the old application form for Non-Belonger Land Holding Licences.

The public is notified that the Land Holding Licence forms for Non-Belongers have been updated and can be accessed on the banner carousel of the Government’s website. Persons can locate the forms by clicking the banner that says “Non-Belongers Land Holding Licence”.

The public is notified that the Beach Use Policy Community Meeting that was scheduled to be held on Anegada today at 1:00 p.m. has been postponed. Information on the new date for the meeting will be forthcoming in the near future.

The public is hereby notified that the Land Registry will offer services to the public for three (3) hours per day from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, beginning Wednesday, November 28 until Monday, December 31.

The Inland Revenue Department will be conducting a Territory-wide Field Survey during the months of March through July in an ongoing effort to update Property Tax records.

The Inland Revenue Department is reminding all property owners in the Virgin Islands that in accordance with the Property Tax Ordinance, Cap 207 (as amended), the last day for the payment of 2016 Property Tax without incurring interest is tomorrow, Wednesday, November 30.
