The Isabella Morris Primary School is the recipient of over two hundred books courtesy of the Rotary Club Sunrise of Road Town.

Libraries and literacy as an integral part of community building will be highlighted when the Territory observes Library Week 2016.

The 24^th Annual Reading is Fun Week will be observed throughout the Territory from October 11 to October 18 under the theme, ‘Reading: It does make a difference!’

Promoting literacy through library services, increasing membership, and promoting the cultural heritage database, are some of the objectives to be achieved as Library Week 2015 is observed from April 19 to 24.

Greetings, I am Myron V. Walwyn, Minister for Education & Culture. In support of Library Week 2015, I am pleased to offer these remarks to encourage all residents to support, utilise and visit our public libraries.

The Library Services Department is inviting the public to attend the annual Library Week Church service on Sunday, April 19 at the Zion Hill Methodist Church, West End at 11:00 a.m.

The theme for the week is “Creative Ways of Depicting Libraries: Through Art, Music and Story Telling.” The activities scheduled for the week will promote literacy through music, art and storytelling.

Additionally, there will be an open house at all libraries in the Territory on Friday, April 24 from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m.
