The BVI has highlighted the positive role of financial services and deepened its international cooperation with Latin America and the Caribbean at the 36th Session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UN ECLAC).

The public is notified that the Paul P. Wattley Road between Joe’s Hill Road and George’s Hollow is closed for four weeks during the month of April.

The Paul P. Wattley Road will be closed for a period of four weeks while cable trenching continues for the Phase V Power Development programme.

The public is invited to the Inter-Virgin Islands Conference on Historic Sites Management on Friday, April 8.

Cable trenching for the Phase V Power Development programme is expected to reach George’s Hallow road, located near the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School on March 5.

The public is being informed that the George’s Hollow road (Bound Tree) leading from the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School will be closed for approximately three weeks.

Plans are underway for the development of a more effective safety programme for taxi drivers in the Virgin Islands.

Trenching for the installation of the two new 34.5 KV transmission cables is said to be ongoing as part of the Phase V Development Programme.  

The BVI Ports Authority commenced a five day Certified Port Executive^TM (CPE) Program, to train about twenty staff members in several areas related to the global marine transportation system.
