A British Virgin Islander by birth, Dr. Dawn Bain has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. She is graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in Jamaica, and interned at the then Westminster Hospital, and St. Georges’ Teaching Hospitals in London, England, respectively. She worked for three years at the Eastbourne District General Hospital, East Sussex, England. Between 1990 and 1998, Dr. Bain was Casualty Officer at Peebles Hospital, before starting her private medical practice as a General Family Practitioner in Tortola. Dr. Bain’s approach to Medicine has always been prevention. Prevent the onset of disease, detect it early, and use dietary and natural methods to stall or reverse disease progression. As a vegetarian, Dr. Bain personally practises lifestyle medicine.
