Role Summary

The successful applicant will serve as the principal prosecutor in the Virgin Islands as established by the Constitution, and has the overall responsibility for all aspects of criminal proceedings; manage the day-to-date administration and activities of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide administrative and specialised support to the DPP and Counsel.
2. Perform the following activities as directed to support the operations of the Department in a timely and professional manner:

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions scored a major legal victory when the Judicial Committee of The Privy Council in the United Kingdom in their judgment of October 12, 2015 upheld the convictions and sentences of Andrew Milton and Dennis Campbell for the offences of murder and conspiracy to murder.
