ROLE SUMMARY
The successful applicant will gather and analyse data/information to inform technical and strategic recommendations with respect to the remit of the Unit.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collect quantitative and/or qualitative data, interpret research findings and prepare reports on relevant topics for further discussion and decision making.
2. Structure and design workplans to deliver analytical outputs.
3. Advise on technical and strategic recommendations to assist Unit in problem-solving and formulating appropriate responses.
4. Liaise with relevant local, regional and international agencies for information.
5. Maintain relevant records and keep data up to date so that complete records are available for reference.
6. Draft and type correspondence and proof-read various documents ensuring accuracy.
7. Provide advice to government data/statistics personnel on data analyst techniques.
8. Perform any other related duties as required by Supervisor or any senior officer in order to contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Unit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Business Administration/Management, Finance, Economics or related field
  • Two (2) years working experience in project management, research and/or data analysis
  • Sound knowledge and experience in the financial services industry
  • Excellent knowledge of quantitative research methods and data analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the use of standard office equipment and computer applications
  • Ability to work well under pressure
