Collection of waste in residential areas in Anegada, will now be done on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of every week.

According to the Department of Waste Management, residents who  wish to have their trash collected are required to place it on the street directly outside their homes by 7:30 a.m. on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s in time for 8:00 a.m. pick up.

Waste Management Officer, Mr. Marquese Maduro, said, “The revitalized schedule will assist in an efficient collection process while maintaining a clean environment.  We also want to remind Anegada residents that they are required to place their trash in an appropriate trash bin in order for it to be collected.”

Waste collection in Anegada commences from the round-about in Setting Point, located near the vicinity of the main dock, and ends in The Settlement.

 Homeowners living in gated areas are advised to place receptacles inside the gates, permitting the area is visible and accessible.

Mr. Maduro said that this service is only provided for residences, as businesses are required to take their waste directly to the landfill located at Bumber Well.
