The Office of Gender Affairs, with the support of the O’Neal and George families, is inviting the public, and especially Virgin Gorda residents to an Awareness Walk in remembrance of the late Zabrina O’Neal.

The walk will take place on Saturday, October 8 in Virgin Gorda. Persons are asked to assemble at the H. Lavity Stoutt College Parking Lot at 5:30 p.m. The walk will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. to the Bregado Flax Educational Centre and returns to the college.

Walkers are also encouraged to wear a shade of purple in remembrance of the late Zabrina O’Neal who lost her life back in 1999 due to domestic violence.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month is observed in October under the theme, ‘Step up, Speak Out, Seek Help!’
