Businesses approved by the Department of Trade, Investment and Promotions and Consumer Affairs to re-open, must be inspected by the Environmental Health Division and the Social Distancing Task Force.

Listed business owners are asked to register to be inspected by completing an online application at https://bit.ly/Bizinspection.

Prior to inspections, business owners are to use the relevant guidance documents pertaining to their relative businesses to ensure that proper hygienic, social distancing and the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE) are in place.

Guidelines for inspections to re-open can be obtained by visiting www.bvi.gov.vg or by visiting the Government of the Virgin Islands Facebook page.

Businesses not yet approved to operate are allowed to begin preparations but must remain closed from rendering goods and services to the public until approval is given by the authorities. This is in accordance with the Curfew Act, 2017, imposition of Curfew (No.15) Order, 2020 to control, suppress or prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus and for the protection of all persons within the Territory.
