Deputy Postmaster General, Ms. Norea Baronville is again reminding all post box owners that mail can be collected at the General Post Office located in the Maduro Building in Road Town.

Ms. Baronville said as a result of the hurricanes of 2017, the Territory’s postal infrastructure was severely damaged; as such all Post Office box owners and users are asked to utilize the mail collection system presently in operation.

Ms. Baronville said customers collecting mail must provide the Postal Officer with valid identification and the post box number before the mail is released. She added that the process for collecting company mail requires a valid identification and written authorisation with the names of persons authorised to collect mail on behalf of the company.

Customers on Virgin Gorda can also collect mails from the Valley Post Office. The BVI Post offices operate from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Saturday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
