The public is invited to participate in the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service’s Slogan Competition for Fire Safety Week 2016. 

Persons interested in entering the competition must be between the ages of five and 16 and should submit their slogan to Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters in Road Town or via email to BVIFire@gov.vg.  The slogan should include the words Fire Safety Awareness Week 2016 and speak to the theme “Educating the Public on Fires Unseen”. Submission deadline is August 31.

The winner of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of $250.

Note: The department is celebrating 30 years as an independent Fire Department this year, and 20 years of celebrating Fire Safety Week.
