Four women are featured as they received bouquets of flowers on International Women’s Day for their contribution to the field of technology in the Virgin Islands both in the public and private sectors. They are Mrs. Candia Rabsatt-Thompson a Biomedical Engineer Manager at the BVI Health Services Authority, Mrs. Karen Liburd-Anselm Senior Database Administrator at the Financial Services Commission, Mrs. Annabelle Skelton-Malone Director of the Department of Information Technology and Mrs. Irma Harrigan the Information Technology (IT) Manager at Road Town Wholesale Trading, Limited. Representative from the Office of Gender Affairs Mickeisha Delpleshe handed over the bouquets of flowers to the women.

International Women’s Day was observed on March 8 under the theme DigitAll: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality.
