The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting sealed bids for the following vessels that were damaged by hurricane Irma.

The lists of vessels are as follows:

“Navigated”
Registration number: SSR 118748
Port of Registration: London

“Rendezvous”
Registration number SSR 152364
Port of Registration: United Kingdom

“Frugally”
Registration number ON 745568
Port of Registration: Road Harbour

The vessels will be sold as is and without warranty. Persons who are interested in purchasing any of the vessels are invited to address sealed bids to the Virgin Islands Shipping Registry, RG Hodge Plaza, 2nd Floor, Road Town Tortola, British Virgin Islands in a sealed envelope no later than noon on Friday, March 16.

Bids must include full name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, signature, name of the vessel and the amount bid, structured plan for the removal of the boat from the property as soon as possible, a banker’s cheque  payable to Accountant General for the bid amount. Persons successful in their bids will be informed by e-mail or telephone. The bid amount for unsuccessful bidders will be returned.

Bidders are encouraged to review the conditions of sale prior to purchasing any of the vessels. Copies of the Conditions of Sale with regard to the auction can be obtained from the Virgin Islands Shipping Registry between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.  The condition of sale can also be found on the Government’s website at www.bvi.gov.vg.
