Registration continues this week for the Government of the Virgin Islands’ Household Assistance Programme.

The on-going registration process is being led by the Social Development Department in collaboration with the BVI Red Cross, British Red Cross, the Department of International Development (DFID) and Caritas Antilles. Priority households are those who have low to no income, single-parent, women with children ages five years and under, elderly who are 65 years and older, and the disabled.

Registration will be carried out at the Road Town Senior Building and the Red Cross on Tortola. Officers will also be dispatched to register persons who are unable to visit the registration stations. Persons can also register via the Social Development's Hotlines at the following numbers: 468-9377, 468-9375 and 468-9352. Member of the public who speak Spanish can call 344-6134, while Virgin Gorda residents are asked to call 340-5651. The registration deadline is Saturday, October 28.
