The Immigration Department is advising the public of the entry requirements for persons seeking to work and reside in the Territory.

All persons relocating to the Territory are required to have in their possession at the port of entry the following documents:

  3. A visa from the required countries or a visa waiver if applicable.
  4. A police certificate.
  5. A medical certificate from the last place of residence.

Please note that provision has been made under the relaxed labour and immigration requirements for skilled and critical workers following the passage of the recent hurricanes.  They are as follows:

  1. The Immigration and Labour Departments will fast track applications for skilled workers or other workers deemed critical for the rebuilding and recovery efforts.
  2. A visa on arrival system for skilled workers has been established for certain countries.  Employers should contact the Civil Registry and Passport Office for more information.
  3. CARICOM nationals who may be experiencing difficulty obtaining police certificates in a timely manner, the employer should contact the Immigration Department for further assistance and guidance.
  4. Medical certificates can be obtained or verified locally at the Immigration clinic or at a local practitioner of choice.

Two weeks will be given to persons upon entry to finalise the process inclusive of obtaining all of the required documents previously mentioned, if not submitted upon entry.  Failure to comply with the requirements can result in a refusal of permission to remain.
