Speaking ahead of the visit, Foreign Office Minister for Overseas Territories, Rt Hon Minister Milling said, “I am delighted to be coming to the BVI on what is my first visit to this beautiful Territory. It is a privilege to be the Minister for Overseas Territories and I am proud of the support the UK gives, not least throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had such a huge impact on BVI communities.

“I am keen to learn more about BVI first-hand. I look forward to meeting the people of BVI, to listen, and to understand.”

Minister Milling will meet the Commissioner of Police and visit the Police Marine Unit to hear about their plans to improve maritime security. She will also meet the volunteers of VISAR and take part in a search and rescue boat exercise, before going on to visit Virgin Gorda.
