The Supervisor of Elections is informing the public that in accordance with Section 18 (6) of the Elections Act 1994 and Amendments, the Preliminary Voters’ List is available for inspection for a period of four days from May 11 to 14.

Section 18 of the Elections Act states that, “Every preliminary list shall be open for inspection by the public free of charge during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day for a period of four days after the publication at such places as the Governor may direct in the local electoral district to which the list applies, at the Elections Office, the General Post Office and all the Branch Post Offices and Sub-Post Offices throughout the Territory.”

Every person who claims that his/her name, address or occupation has been wrongfully stated or omitted from the Preliminary List shall give notice to the Supervisor in Form No. 3 within four days after the publication of the said list.

Every person whose name appears on any Preliminary List may object to any other person whose name also appears therein as not being entitled to have his/her name therein, and shall give notice to the Supervisor of Elections in Form No. 4 within four days after the publication of such list.

All claims or objections must be filed at the Elections Office. Forms are also available at the Office.
