His Majesty’s Customs

The Customs Department is celebrating 40 years of existence and is inviting the public to a number of activities to mark the occasion. These include a church service at the Faith Baptist Church located on Main Street on July 12, at 11:00 a.m. and an Open House at Her Majesty’s Customs Headquarters, in the Richard Stoutt building, on July 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 The department will also host a Masquerade Ball on July 18 under the theme   “A Fusion of Colours” at the Callaloo on the Reef, Prospect Reef from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Tickets are $25. Ticket Outlets are Her Majesty’s Customs Headquarters, Customs Department’s Virgin Gorda office and J & C Trading Limited.

The 40th Anniversary is being celebrated under the theme: The Transition:  Customs 40th Anniversary. Reflections Throughout Forty Years: Revenue Collection, Ensuring Legitimate Trade, Border Protection, Continuous Reform and Modernisation
