The Adina Donovan Home for the Elderly is the recipient of a donation of $1500 by Quality Construction.

Quality Construction is a company owned by Mr. Roy Garraway that specialises in the construction of residential and vacation homes. The company is also involved in the construction of road projects under the Caribbean Development Bank project.

The funds were handed to Manager of the Home, Mrs. Marilin Malone-Bass, on May 31.

Mrs. Malone-Bass expressed gratitude to Mr. Garaway on behalf of the residents and staff and gave the reassurance that the funds will be put to good use for the functioning and efficacy of the Home.

Mr. Garaway in his response encouraged others to give generously and provide assistance in whatever area they can. He said, “This is a path that everyone will have to take someday… you are not certain of what life will bring you or where you may go. So for me, I look at this as an opportunity to help the elderly.”

Members of the community are encouraged to continue to support the Adina Donovan Home for Elderly in its mission to ensure an optimum quality of life for all residents by providing an environment that caters to the unique spiritual, emotional, physical and mental aspects of life.

Persons interested in making donations are invited to contact the Adina Donovan Home for the Elderly at 468-2340.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development aspires to provide a caring and integrated system of health and social services that facilitates human development and improves the quality of life in the Virgin Islands.
