themed, “Moving Towards a Healthy You. A Healthy Me. A Healthier Community.” and will showcase the variety of ways that the Queen Elizabeth II Park can be enjoyed by the community.

Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE has expressed his enthusiasm for the park stating, “It provides a safe area for people to relax, much-needed green open space and public amenities in the Road Town area that will be in keeping with Government’s desire to improve Road Town’s image.”

Premier Smith said he envisions the park will feature prominently in the Territory’s tourism product and will be a destination for disembarking tourists.

The Premier added that the park is not just another beautiful place, but that it is ideal for recreational and sporting activity, relaxation and stress reduction, all of which are necessary for a healthy lifestyle.

The park features a walking track that loops around its perimeter and includes pathways and hard landscaping, a lookout point, picnic areas, shaded structures, seating and a car park. The public is invited to attend the opening ceremony, and bring their walking shoes to participate in the activities planned.

The Queen Elizabeth II Park and the restored children’s playground demonstrate Government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for residents and enhancing the Territory’s Tourism product.
