Minister for the Overseas Territories, the Rt Hon. Lord Goldsmith, His Excellency the Governor Mr. John Rankin CMG, Minister for Natural Resources and Labour Honourable Melvin M. Turnbull, President of the H Lavity Stoutt Community Colleget (HLSCC) Mr. Richard Georges, and the Head of Marine & Maritime Studies at HLSCC Ms. Susan Zaluski are featured on an environmental tour that took place on Wednesday February 1. The tour commenced at the Centre for Applied Marine Studies at HLSCC where the delegation was educated on the Mangrove Nursery as well as the difficulties that the Territory has been facing in regards to restoration efforts and building resilience to climate change. Potential avenues for bilateral discussions and opportunities for students and graduates of HLSCC were also discussed. Deputy Premier and Minister for Communications and Works Honourable Kye Rymer also joined the delegation on the visit to the J.R. O’Neal Botanical Gardens for a historical tour led by Director of the National Parks Trust Dr. Cassander Titley-O’Neal and Mr. Colin Clubb from Kew Gardens.
