Motorists are advised that there will be traffic disruptions along the Ridge Road in the vicinity of Little Dix Hill as works continue in the area.

  1. Traffic descending from Hope Hill will be redirected to the Nottingham Estate road following the notices placed at both the Hope Hill and Nottingham Estate road junction.
  2. Traffic from Long Look heading to the ridge road will also be directed through to Nottingham Estate road to Hope Hill.

Motorists are asked to drive with extreme caution and to follow the directions of the traffic wardens and road signs erected in designated areas.  Signage indicating that road works are ahead will be placed at the Little Dix Hill – Josiah’s Bay junction. Signage will also be placed at Hope Hill – Nottingham Estate road junction for ‘road works ahead’ and 500 feet prior to the site works on the eastern and western points of the project site.

Due to the nature of the works, it is anticipated that there will be some impact on the traffic traversing in the vicinity of the site works at Little Dix Hill.  One lane access in the vicinity of the site works is expected to be maintained for the majority of the project’s duration which is expected to last around six months.

Excavation and debris removal will begin before the end of November.  Motorists will be advised of dates and times of road closures.
