Members of the Recovery Task Force met with representatives from insurance companies and agents operating in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) to discuss insurance coverage related to the flood event of August 7-8, 2017.

Residents of the Virgin Islands are advised that clean-up is still ongoing at the Queen Elizabeth II Children’s Playground due to damages sustained by the tropical wave on August 7.

The International Tax Authority is informing all BVI Financial Institutions that it has updated its list of Reportable Jurisdictions and the updated list is applicable to the reporting period January 1 to December 31, 2016.

The technical drainage and landslide experts have returned to Puerto Rico to compile a report on their findings following their damage assessments on Tortola after the passage of a tropical wave on August 7.
