Assistance with New Electrical Connections

Provide new electrical connections to persons who requires financial assistance where the cost of the connection is high due to location of the house from the main supply. 

Process

Step 1:  Applicant applies in writing for financial assistant to the Ministry of Communication and Works.   

Step 2:  Once approved, the Ministry of Communication and Works would write to the applicant confirming how much finances was approved. 

Supporting Documents

  • Request Letter
  • Copy of the BVI Electricity Corporations agreement form for New Electrical Connection.

Varies depending on outcome of decision

Additional Notes

The applicant would have to pay the balance to make up the full amount on the contribution from the Minister of Communication and Works.
