Special Customs Services are services performed outside of the normal operating hours and outside the normal bases of operation.

Process

Step 1:  A written request or an email which includes date, time, location etc., must first be submitted by the applicant to the Commissioner of Customs at least 24 hours in advance. Companies requesting petroleum delivery must give 72 hours notice.

Step 2:  Approval must be given by the Commissioner of Customs; and preparations are made to facilitate the request.

Step 3:  The cargo is cleared at the location (if it is impractical to inspect loose cargo at customs location; Customs Officers will accompany the customer to their private home/business and inspect.)
