At this time, I wish to give you a further update on the COVID-19 situation in the Virgin Islands.

Today as we celebrate Virgin Islands Day, I wish to extend greetings to everyone in these beautiful islands and to those joining us by radio and other social media platforms throughout the world.

In the Virgin Islands, as we have turned the page into the new month of July, it would appear that we have turned to a new page in our experience as a Territory, battling this dreaded COVID-19 disease.  No doubt the reports and statistics have affected the general mood in these islands and have been a concerning one for most, if not all of us. 

Good day and God’s blessings to the people of the Virgin Islands.  On Monday, July 5^th 2020, we will be celebrating for the very first time Virgin Islands Day.

UPDATE ON THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK IN THE VIRGIN ISLANDS

The Virgin Islands is currently experiencing an outbreak of COVID-19. 

Good day and God's Blessings to all the people of the Virgin Islands and beyond.

As we move forward together, to accelerate the further reopening of our tourism industry and re-energising of the Virgin Islands economy, as we continue to make major adjustments under the new phases of our strategy for balancing lives and livelihoods in this ongoing COVID-19 Global Pandemic, I am pleased as your Premier to address you the Virgin Islands people once again.

This morning, July 1, 2021, the fifth named storm of the year, Tropical Storm Elsa, formed east of the Caribbean.

Good day to all.

Hurricane season is upon us, with the fifth named storm of 2021 - Tropical Storm Elsa, which developed in the early hours of July 1.

I am speaking to you today as I am concerned, concerned to hear of the further increased cases of COVID-19 here in the BVI.
