Public Officers from the Ministry of Ministry of Environment Natural Resources and Climate Change are featured wearing blue as they stand in solidarity against Child Abuse

The Social Development Department is highlighting the importance of creating safe, nurturing environments for children and is inviting the public to wear blue on Friday, 25 April in observance of Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month.

Today, on 19 November, we unite to observe World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse -  a day that calls us to pause, reflect, and take bold action to protect the youngest and most vulnerable members of our community: our children.   

Social Workers from the Social Development Department have visited several schools on the sister islands to deliver messages on child abuse prevention and awareness.

The Social Development Department hosted a conscious co-parenting seminar to highlight the correlation between positive co-parenting and child protection as part of activities to observe Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month.
