Deputy Governor, Mr. David Archer, Jr. is acting in the Office of Governor until 20th May in the absence of His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Daniel Pruce, who is out of the Territory.
The COI took place between 2021 and 2022, and reported on 4th April 2022. Over the past three years, public officers, elected representatives, and the Governor’s Office have been working together to deliver forty-eight recommendations.
On World Press Freedom Day, we celebrate the fundamental principles of press freedom. It provides an opportunity to evaluate press freedom around the world and allows us to defend the important work of the media. It acts as a reminder to governments of the need to respect their commitment to press freedom. It is also a day of reflection among media professionals and a day of remembrance for those journalists who lost their lives in the pursuit of a story.
The public is advised that the 2025 lists of Notaries Public, Commissioners for Oaths and the first batch of the list of attorneys approved to practice in the Virgin Islands are now available, in accordance with Section 28 of the Commisioner for Oaths and Notaries Public Act, 2007.
Ms. Janelle Hodge has been appointed Executive Secretary to the Service Commissions Secretariat, where she will lead the Secretariat’s duties to support the Public Service’s various Service Commissions.
