One day before being sworn in as the new Governor of the Virgin Islands, Governor Designate Mr. Augustus Jaspert and his family, arrived in the Territory to warm greetings from officials.

The public is invited to tune in to the live coverage of the Swearing-in and Welcome Ceremony for the 13^th Governor of the Virgin Islands, Mr. Augustus Jaspert on Tuesday, August 22 at 10:00 a.m.

The public is invited to view the sights and scenes from His Excellency the Governor John S. Duncan, OBE’s official farewell tour of the sister islands. 

The public is reminded that Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE will present the mid-year review of his Government’s work in a radio and television simulcast tonight, July 10 at 8:00 p.m.

In responding to a news release by BVI Airways on July 4, Premier and Minister of Finance said, “the Government has fully discharged its responsibility to BVI Airways by providing $7M as a subsidy in keeping with the terms of the agreement.”

Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE is away from the Territory attending the 38th Meeting of The Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in Grenada from July 4 to 6.
