Mr. Mark Collins QPM formally took up the post of Commissioner of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) on April 19 following a brief swearing in ceremony at Government House.
Safety and security is vital for the continued success and peace of the Virgin Islands, which means that the Virgin Islands Community must join together to fight all criminal activity.

Like everyone else in the British Virgin Islands, I was deeply shocked by the murder which took place in broad day light in Tortola on Tuesday. It was a truly appalling event.
Veteran United Kingdom police chief and Queen’s Police Medal honouree Mr. Mark Collins will take up the post of Commissioner of the Royal Virgin Islands Police in April.

The public is advised that the matter of Nicholas Cancro, John Hines Jr, Lynee Ann Hines and Jeanne McKinnon who were apprehended by the Joint Task Force on the 19th November, 2020 was heard before Magistrate Christilyn Benjamin at 2:00 p.m. on 1st December, 2020.
