Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone has reported that there are sixteen (16) new positive COVID-19 cases and ten (10) recoveries in the British Virgin Islands.

Greetings to everyone and thank you for joining us as I bring you another status report on the Territory’s COVID-19 situation and response.  In this update I will also provide an update on decisions taken at a Special Cabinet Meeting that was held on the 3^rd of September.

The Immigration Department is informing work permit holders that it has extended the waiver of the issuance of extensions to entry permits until December 31, 2020. 

The BVI Health Services Authority is notifying the public about COVID-19 related changes regarding elective and hospital services. 

Ticketing, more frequent monitoring and stricter penalties will be enacted to protect the Territory from further community spread COVID-19.

The Cabinet Office is informing the public that given the recent Curfew Order (No. 30), its new office hours are now 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
