Discussions are underway for the development of a Territorial Transportation Policy and Emergency Response Plan.

The Ministry of Communications and Works is moving towards implementing a world-class transportation and infrastructure system   as the public service enters its transformation.            

The public is informed that traffic will be interrupted on the road adjacent the Flemming House (Flow) Building, (Fishlock Road and Flemming Street) between the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. weekdays and 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekends.

The public is informed that the Department of Motor Vehicles is closed for the remainder of the day, effective immediately.

In responding to a news release by BVI Airways on July 4, Premier and Minister of Finance said, “the Government has fully discharged its responsibility to BVI Airways by providing $7M as a subsidy in keeping with the terms of the agreement.”

The owners of derelict and possibly abandoned vessels moored in the Sea Cow’s Bay Harbour, are asked to have them removed as soon as possible.

The public is notified that there will be limited services at the Department of Motor Vehicles at Pockwood Pond on Wednesday, April 26 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Scooter riders are urged to practice safety on the Territory’s roads.

The public is reminded to be vigilant while using transportation for hire.
