The Department of Immigration will host office hours on Anegada on Friday, March 22, 2024 for the facilitation of extensions of visitors Landing Permits, extensions to Entry Permits for work permit holders and general queries for services provided by the department.
The Government of the Virgin Islands is pleased to announce simplified work permit requirements for specific categories of individuals providing short-term services in the Territory.
The Government of the Virgin Islands has announced that effective immediately, employers, agents, and Human Resources Managers (HRMs) will now be able to collect renewal work permits on behalf of their employees.
The Government of the Virgin Islands through the Ministry of Financial Services, Labour and Trade announces the transfer of Executive Work Permit (EWP) processing to the Department of Labour and Workforce Development.
Work permit holders are notified that appointments would be made and sent to their cellular phones and email addresses when their renewals are approved.
The public is informed that effective immediately; new-approved full-time work permits will be issued a clearance valid for six (6) months instead of the previous three (3) months.
The public is reminded to review the checklist when submitting work permit applications to the Department of Labour and Workforce Development. Persons are also asked to submit all the required documents that are stated on the list.

The public is notified that the offices of the Department of Labour and Workforce Development on Tortola and Virgin Gorda will close at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 1.
An Online Work Permit Processing Task Force is now in place to assist the Department of Labour and Workforce Development with the processing of the backlog of work permit applications.
